Those who unfortunate enough not to be at Coachella 2011 up front and live, myself included, had to settle for Coachella’s lie YouTube stream which had surprisingly good quality. One of the best ways to market an event and to also ensure good publicity for future events is to provide high-above par quality content. In this case it was the music, and those who weren’t there live got the best viewing they could possibly get from their computers.

Read my article on BaseArticles about what we can learn from Coachella’s excellent live coverage on YouTube as event marketers. As always, let me know what you think.

If you’re just getting into an email marketing strategy for your small business take a second to look through my latest guest post for Search Engine People. It will take you through some of the common misconceptions about email marketing such as:

  1. Believing a marketer can blast an email to anyone who has bought a certain product because it is in their “area of interest”.
  2. A marketer can take emails from Craigslist ads and blast a targeted campaign etc..

You want to start out your email marketing campaigns the right way. A first good impression is a great way to set the standard and let your subscribers know you’re sending out substantial content.
